Interior Design Schools
Courses Offered
All the required basics of visual designing and practical arts are provided to the students by the interior design schools in the course that they undertake. Various aspects of designing such as landscaping, garden designing, color principles and consultancy, soft furnishings and curtains and many more household facets are included in the curriculum. It is the job of the interior designer to not only give his clients an appropriate layout of the space but also specify what materials would be suitable to fill the place with durable and affordable furniture pieces and decorative articles.
To cater to all the different areas of design, interior design schools have formulated numerous courses that focus on certain specific aspects. This speaks of the huge span that the interior-designing syllabus covers, as one single course is incapable of teaching all the necessary characteristics of the art. Hence, there are specialized courses such as interior design and decoration, and interior design and architecture among others. The choice of the course depends on an individual’s choice of career stream and the time that they can devote for the same.
The degree programs have various levels such as Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Architecture, Diploma in Interior Design & Decoration and Master of Arts in Interior Design.
