How Do I Design A Room For Home Theater
Lighting
Lightings play a very important role in setting the mood and building the atmosphere of your home theater experience. It is advisable to avoid overhead or glaring lights that interfere with the tone of your room decor. It is best to have soft and recessed lighting that can be controlled from your seat with the help of a remote. The design of the room chosen as a home theater can be further enriched by installing motorized drapes, which can also be controlled with a remote. Further, you may select lighting controls that allow you to create saved settings, which enable you to select just the right lighting effects on the drapes and the seating area. Certain systems let you customize pre-show music and lights. As the movie begins, the lights fade out automatically.
Seating Arrangement
The ideal seating arrangement for a home theater depends on the number of people that one expects to entertain. Ideally, a couple of large sofas can work very well. A couch can also add to the comfort factor of a room, along with a couple of recliners and loveseats. If your budget does not allow you to invest in multiple recliners, you may consider adding an ottoman. It is essential to remember that your viewing experience can only be great when you are comfortably seated and thus the seating arrangement will definitely have an impact on the design of your room for home theater.
Once the basic aspects have been taken care of, you may add to the room decor by including a T.V. tray or wooden table, a mini refrigerator and small closets. You may even keep a small microwave, so that you enjoy your favorite snacks and popcorn during show times without leaving the room.
